A: Take a look at "Tom's Hardware GPU Benchmarks Hierarchy" which does a good job comparing cards/chips backed by detailed testing. Practically, the 6900 XT and the 3080 Ti are comparable, with the 6900 XT doing a decent amount better over the 3080 Ti at 1080p resolution. At 4k, the 3080 Ti is a negligibly better. Cost and thermal load may be your tie-breakers. Compared to a 3060 (non-Ti), the 6900 XT is insanely better.

A: I think this model has been modified perhaps cache to interface with the the GDD6. Other than that they raise the price because they can!
