Q: Does this watch require a sim card? Also can you bluetooth this to a phone to answer calls?
A: The watch does require cell service/sim. I have AT&T its only $10/mo. i am not sure if it has bluetooth. My 9 yr old has it and she can send me messages and call my with it. It also has an activity tracker and GPS.
Q: Does this watch work in Europe with European SiM?
A: Xplora watches sold on the US market operate on different frequency bands than the European ones. To be on the safe side, you'll need to check if your watch model supports the same frequency bands as the ones used by the European carrier you intend to use. If you are planning a longer stay in Europe, it might be a smarter move to buy the European version of the watch to ensure full compatibility with multiple carriers across Europe.
Q: Where on earth are chargers for this device sold?
A: https://shop.myxplora.com/products/charger-for-x5-play Looks like they may be out of stock.
A: The data portion works with a data-only sim from Fi (which is free from Fi, just pay for the data), allowing the watch to communicate via the Xplora app. I don't know about voice or SMS with a compatible Fi sim card.
Q: Do I need two service plans with two watches or can they share one number for two sims cards?
A: Each Xplora watch requires its own phone number, so you'll need two separate lines for your watches :)
Q: Does this watch have the listen to surroundings feature?
A: I don’t believe so.
Q: Does this have other features other than gps and phone??
A: You can text, call. Track location. It keeps track of the child’s steps as well and gives them “badges” for reaching a goal. Also it notifies the guardian(s) if there was an sos call, and if and when the child makes any phone call with he contact’s information. You have control of their contacts and you are able to put the watch on school mode so he/she won't be messing with it during school hours. Also notifies you when the watch’s battery life is running low so you can keep it charged.
