A: I sat back and leisurely watched the assembly. First attach the beautiful side wood panels on each side of the shelf, then the metal bar under the top shelf's smoked glass. Place your glass on each shelf. For the Top shelf there was one small piece that the assembler finally realized its place/function. It is beautiful. Looking back I would say 40-45 minutes assembly time.
A: I just measured mine and yes there is a bar underneath the top shelf and the 9.3" measurement does account for that. It would have been 11.5" without it.
A: DO NOT PLACE ITEMS ON THE SHELVES WHICH EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT LIMITS OF 125 LBS. FOR TOP SHELF, 50 LBS. FOR THE MIDDLE SHELF, AND 75 LBS. FOR THE BOTTOM SHELF. ALWAYS PLACETHE HEAVIEST COMPONENTS ON THE BOTTOM SHELF
