Got this for my son and he really enjoyed it. Not fast and the furious but still a good movie

If you took this movie at face value then it be easy to say that its your standard action flick buried and overlooked in the spring/summer box office release slate. But, the thing that makes this particular movie different is that while yes, this not Paul Walker's best performance and yes, this is one of his last films, that doesn't take away from a solid premise. Is it goofy and over the top at times? Certainly. As a matter of fact it's perhaps fairly said and widely claimed that this movie is inferior to the film its remade from. But for being the first bigger scale movie I can remember to showcase parkour as this does, it succeeds in advancing the story without getting caught up in a parkour sideshow, meaning, they did a good job incorporating it into the overall film/story. Where the dvd/blu ray release is lacking is with an opportunity to include stock, shot footage or entire behind the scenes interviews (typically done at some point during filming an cut into a EPK feature) they chose not to include any of Paul Walker's beyond the filming moments.

It was a bit difficult to watch this movie, knowing that this was the last completed project that Paul Walker started in, especially being a fan of the F&F series. Still, if you saw and enjoyed the Original French version ("District 13"), I think that you won't be disappointed. The action sequences are great, and it's amazing that even almost 10 years later, there's no doubt that David Belle is still the king of Parkour! Luc Besson executive produced this movie, so if you're a fan of his films, you know what to expect. I also encourage you to see District 13 first if you're on the fence about this.
