Q: can i load this on 2 devices like my desktop and my laptop?
A: Per the license agreement, with one license you can install on two different computers, but only one active computer at a time.
A: Several manufacturers make CD Rom drives that plug into a USB port, mine is by LG. Works great that's how I installed Paint Shop Pro on my laftop.
Q: Is this a one year subscription when this is purchased?
A: Not a subscription at all, you are buying a one time license to use the software if you buy the download version, or you can buy the program on cd rom in a package in store. Either way, you pay once and have full use of the program.

A: Im disappointed also, don't waste your money, seems like the only thing that works right is the immediate ads for upgrades.

A: If you mean can you add text to any photo, the answer is absolutely and it comes with different fonts. You can also import fonts! I hope I answered your question? :)

A: No it does not come with a manual. However, you can download a user guide from the Corel website.
