Q: What is difference between big ball and small ball vacuum cleaners?
A: Weight and attachments. The big one is too heavy for me for example. Arthritis in my hands.

Q: Should air flow through the handle all the time even when doing normal vacuuming?
A: Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. The air flow will switch to the base when reclined. You should only feel air flow from the wand when in the upright position. If you feel suction through the wand when reclined, there is likely an obstruction within the hose inlet. Simply remove the hose and clear out any debris. Q: Just got a new shag area rug. Can I raise the brush(es) to vacuum this rug wirh ease?
A: Hi Marge, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Small Ball Multi Floor, like with all of our Dyson Ball models, has a self-adjusting cleaner head. This reduces air leaks and retains more suction power at the cleaner head, ensuring that the head maintains optimal contact with flooring, to provide the best performance across both hard floors and carpet. As a result, while we don't expect problems to occur and experiences can vary from home to home, some high pile carpets may fill in the cleaner head resulting in an airtight seal. The Small Ball model does feature a suction control slider at the cleaner head which will result in more possible airflow when cleaning your carpets.
