A: I'm responding here due to the 4-wire response. Frigidaire includes an installation guide on their website for this model stove. It says you can use a 3-prong wire in homes with existing 3-wire connections in the US. I am going to talk with someone in-store to confirm, but I was about to go with a different stove after seeing that answer, so I thought I'd add the info here. Scroll down toward the bottom of the page. There's a section for "Guides and Manuals" that will be of assistance: https://www.frigidaire.com/en/p/kitchen/ranges/induction-ranges/GCFI3060BF
A: The burner controls are at the front of the stovetop. When off, as you note, you can't see anything, except for a small on off switch at the front far left. That switch is not raised, it's like a button on your phone, which responds to the heat of your finger. Once that is activated, four red lines appear across the front, and each has an on off switch for burners which have a pan on them. You touch the on off switch, and select the level of heat along the red lines.

We replaced our gas range (which we loved) for this electric induction model due to environmental concerns (both indoor air quality and global environmental). It heats very fast and we are getting used to the controls. One thing we were not fully prepared for is the fact that more than half of our cookware is not induction compatible. We're looking at several $100's in new pots and pans! It will also take some time getting used to the controls and the pausing of the induction elements whenever the pan is lifted. This is something that occurs frequently. We love the smooth cook top and it is easy to clean. There are some a number of oven modes including air frying that we haven't tried yet. I'll update more when possible.

This is my first time using an induction range, and I couldn't be happier. It's a lot different than a conventional range, so there is a learning curve, but induction is much better. Pots heat up faster, and the Power Boost function boils water quickly. There are numerous bake settings, including convection, slow, steam, and air frying. I don't think the air fryer is as good as an appliance dedicated solely to that, but I'm still experimenting. The Bread Proof setting is also a nice touch. All in all, this is a nicely valued, feature-rich range.
