my husband does the vacuuming in our family, so he picked this one out at Best Buy. He spent 30 minutes trying each one on display and finally chose this. it has not disappointed him. He uses it a couple of times a week. He feels as though it has very good suction.

Truly awesome power on this Hoover React Professional Vac. However, it is quite heavy and the swivel makes it difficult to control. I considered returning it but decided to keep it for the awesome power and it does almost all that was stated. Great at picking up pet fur and a thorough vacuum of carpets. The wand is very awkward to use as the power is so strong that the stretch part of the hose seizes up and will not stretch out to reach overhead, or spaces too small for the floor head. Would I recommend this vacuum - probably not unless you have great upper body and arm strength and have little to no need for the wand. Fortunately, I have very little need for overhead/tight spaces as use of the wand is a disappointment.

This Hoover replaced a 7 year old Hoover Windtunnel 2. World of difference. No lose of sunction when using the attachments and unlike many vacuums, you can turn off the beater brush. The carpet or hard floor auto-sensor is really nice, although it occasionally is fooled by a very dense wool rug we have; it thinks it's hard floor. The flexible head works great once the wrist gets the hang of it.
