The HPE Aruba AP-555 (JZ357A) is a dual-radio 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 access point built for extreme-density environments such as universities, convention centers, hotels, and growing enterprise offices. Its 8x8 MIMO 5GHz radio and 4x4 MIMO 2.4GHz radio combine for an aggregate peak data rate of 5.95Gbps, while uplink and downlink OFDMA and multi-user MIMO let the AP serve large numbers of mobile and IoT clients simultaneously without sacrificing throughput. Each radio can handle up to 1,024 associated client devices, making this AP well suited to high-density deployments where many users share the same space. Built-in Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee radios add flexible IoT and location-services connectivity, covering asset tracking, mobile engagement, and operational technology use cases from a single device. Two HPE Smart Rate Ethernet ports support speeds up to 5Gbps with flexible PoE options, including Aruba Smart PoE and Intelligent Power Monitoring, so the AP draws power efficiently from existing switching infrastructure. Aruba's ClientMatch and AirMatch technologies continuously optimize client connections and RF performance, while integrated wireless intrusion protection and IP reputation services help guard the network. Aruba Core Security adds TPM-based secure storage of credentials for hardware-level protection. With support for controller-based, Instant, and Remote AP deployment modes, the AP-555 adapts to networks of virtually any size.
