A child should not go thru life like this!
This was a real life situation that real people are going thru for real! It sadden my heart to see a 12yr old have to survive on his own, and take care of a 9yr old. But the hardest, and saddest part is to see a child watch their mother shut up drugs! This movie should be watched with a parent, and not for children under 16 at all! It is good movie, but not a family movie at all!

Puts you right there.
I heard the story behind this movie but was not sure I would like it. When it came on sale I just had to buy it. It puts you right there in the projects with all the troubles. It is rated R, so expect to see and hear some things a little off color. However, these just make the movie more real.
