A: This is a 7th Generation Intel Core I-5 processor.
Q: Does this laptop have excel on it
A: There is a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows 10 operating system, which includes Excel. In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software.
Q: Can you confirm this does have a CD/DVD drive? What is the battery life?
A: It does have a CD drive. I almost wish it didn't. Battery life depends on your usage and power settings, but 3 to 4 hours seems reasonable under light load.
Q: Is a 3 1/2 hour battery life normal for this machine?
A: The approximate battery life on a full charge is 4 to 6 hours, depending on the work the system is doing. If you are using the system to stream movies or do other resource intensive work, 3.5 hours sounds about right. You may want to try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.
