A: The Nightowl video doorbell does Not require a subscription and it has a space for a micro SD card to store the data. The doorbell is a great camera and product! Unfortunately, the app and software for this product is pure junk and it renders this product useless! It's a total waste of money! I ultimately ended up installing the Remo S video doorbell and it works great!
A: The doorbell is hardwired to your existing chime if you have one. What happens, is it 'rings' twice. Once at the unit and also through the existing wiring. It should work.
