    Overall, I'm happy with the Nightowl video doorbell! The 1080 HD camera takes great pictures and video and I can literally hear the crickets chirping through the audio! Easy setup and install and I had no problems with the app downloading and usage! The app definitely drains my Samsung Note 9 battery faster than prior to the installation. The ability of using a SD card for storage and no cloud fees is a huge plus! There has been a few glitches and yesterday I tried to speak to someone on my porch and they couldn't hear me! Also, I find the push notifications don't always alert me to motion no matter what sensitivity setting I have it on! Overall, I bought it on sale and I had a BB credit, And I like it! Best Buy online ordering and shipping was excellent as usual!

    I was concerned when I purchased this item because other reviews stated that the service cuts in and out. I went ahead and bought one anyways. Installation was very easy and the camera has a nice picture. The system does cut in and out but it hasn’t been a problem yet. My biggest disappointment was I have other night our cameras and I thought it would be compatible with the DVR system. The doorbell system is not compatible and you have to have your own separate SD card for that front door I was not happy about that.

      Hi Brandon. The doorbell is not compatible with all of our existing solutions, but can also be used as a standalone via Wi-Fi connection. As a standalone, you can add your own microSD card (up to 128GB) for storage. This particular model can only be added to our WNVRC20 and HC20X Series as an add on.     This took a while to get configured and put onto my existing night owl system network. It works great with the app but it does not integrate with the DVR. This was understood upon purchase so overall I am very satisfied with it. You definitely have to tweak and adjust the camera angle to get it to meet your needs. Overall, I would recommend it. Much cheaper than the competition.

    Picture is good but the app doesn't work more than half the time. Forget about any customer support. If you're only using the DVR it works fine. Don't buy

    The Night Owl doorbell with camera is an excellent addition to my Night Owl security cameras. It shows a wide angle. The view is very clear. I’m able to speak and listen to visitors. It’s a very good doorbell and an excellent price.
