A: We just returned from a trip to Vienna and Paris and used the adapter when in Vienna. I used it for my curling iron, and was surprised to see that got so hot that it melted the plastic tip off the top of the curling iron! After checking the adapter, in very fine print (not on the box when we purchased it) was a warning that this is an adapter NOT a converter. Fortunately, we had a second adapter converter(different brand) with us that worked just fine. Also fortunately, we had not tried this out on our cell phones. I can't imagine a company that would make an adapter that allows you to plug into an electric circuit not compatible with your device without a means to convert it.
A: Yes. It should work just fine. My son and I just set the prongs to the correct configuration for Europe and plugged our phones right into the USB ports for charging and use. I am not an expert, but since iPads basically work the same.way, I think you would be fine.
Q: Will I also need to purchase a voltage adaptor or is it included?
A: Most small electronics such as phones are duel voltage as are portable chargers. You can safely charge with an adapter. Be sure to check the specs on your phone. If in doubt charge the charger and use it to charge a usb type device. Now a lot of hair dryers are duel voltage. You can look on the dryer and if it says 110/220 you can safely use it with just an adapter to fit the plug. We have never had a problem with electronics in Europe.
A: my wife tried to use a curling iron and it fried it in a matter of minutes in London. It does work great for computers, iphones, etc.
Q: Can this be used in New Zealand?
A: Yes, this model is Australian compatible and thus New Zealand compatible.
Q: Planning a trip to Kenya/Tanzania/Rwanda, is this a G plug
A: The UK button has a 3-prong plug for 240V.
A: This adapter has one plug for use in North America, the Quick Setup Guide is available under the Overview section.
