Highlights

Features

  • True RGB, the future of color

Powered by a newly evolved Backlight Master Drive, Sony's True RGB drives three-color LEDs independently for unprecedented color volume, precise color gradation, and a significantly wider viewing angle.

  • A new era of uncompromising color accuracy

Sony unites the color range of our flagship OLED with the high brightness of a Mini LED. This breakthrough enables a new level of color volume and the ability to render even more accurate colors.

  • See the hidden depths like never before

From the brightest peak to the darkest shade, Sony's True RGB faithfully reproduces even the finest tonal details. It brings the full depth of the story vividly to life on screen.

  • Color, faithfully reproduced

Sony's True RGB sensing function detects LED operating efficiency in real time and optimizes brightness accordingly, so the TV consistently reproduces the color tones of the input video with high fidelity.

  • Same stunning picture, any seat

With X-Wide Angle Pro, color and contrast stay vivid and natural from the side as well as the front, giving the whole room a true cinema view.

  • Watch uninterrupted, even in daylight

From morning light to evening glare, Immersive Black Screen Pro keeps the picture clear. Reflections are minimized by a unique screen treatment, letting you stay absorbed in the film without distraction, whatever the time of day.

  • Smarter picture in real time

The XR Processor uses AI scene recognition to optimize color, contrast, and clarity in every frame for lifelike realism.

  • Make everything you watch look closer to 4K

XR Clear Image AI restores lost detail and reduces noise for a clearer, more natural image.

  • Contrast intensified. Depth amplified

XR Contrast Booster precisely balances light across the screen, adjusting brightness for higher peaks in glare and deeper blacks in shadow.

  • Even fast-moving action stays smooth, bright and clear

XR Motion Clarity analyzes movement across several frames and precisely synchronizes the backlight with on-screen motion so you see clear, bright images, however fast the action.

  • My Cinema presets. Tailored to the moment

Choose from cinema-optimized picture and sound presets designed for various viewing environments. These presets adjust your TV for the best movie-watching experience with just a single step.

  • Cinema-like surround sound, in harmony with the picture

Feel like you're in the cinema. Acoustic Multi-Audio+ with Beam Tweeter at the top delivers cinematic surround sound. Every sound comes from exactly the right place.

  • From stereo to expansive 3D surround, wider and clearer

Ordinary sound becomes extraordinary. With our evolved 3D Surround Upscaling including proprietary virtualizer, stereo expands into wider, more precise 3D audio, crisper, clearer, and more immersive than ever.

  • Crystal clear voice. With AI technology

No more muffled voices. Our Voice Zoom 3 recognizes human dialogue through AI machine learning and amplifies or reduces its volume so even small dialogue sounds loud and clear.

  • Easily expand your cinema: Direct TV connection

    Best I’ve Ever Owned

I exclusively buy Sony TVs because I’ve always had great experiences. This model is the best that I’ve ever owned. The matte screen is a game changer for a bright room. Glare is nearly nonexistent. We use DirectTv Stream and local broadcasts look HD. True HD looks great as well. Colors are bright and crisp. I usually use Vivid mode because of the brightness of my room, but this TV is so bright that Vivid mode almost hurts my eyes! This is a great TV that is a bit pricey, but don’t let that stop you. If you are on the fence, get it. You won’t be disappointed.

    This tv exceeded my expectations!!

This TV is wonderful and is a perfect addition for our living room, which has a ton of natural light. The colors are beautiful and the non glare is the best. We bought the sound bar 9, woofer, and wall mount speakersto go with it and it sounds amazing.

Most breathtaking picture I have seen from a TV!

I purchased the Bravia 9ii to replace my LG G3. My living room receives a lot of light that I am unable to control, and although the LG did a pretty good job managing reflections, they were still obvious in dark scenes. The Sony has yet to produce a reflection that I am able to see when viewing at any time of day. When I first saw the Bravia 9ii at Best Buy it was, and still is, breathtaking to me. The colors and clarity of the TV are most impressive. I always missed the Sony processing with my LG, and to me nothing compares. Textures, clarity, motion and color are unmatched to my eye. I feared I would miss having an OLED but have not thought about it once. This set is not necessarily an OLED killer, just the best TV for a bright room! I would highly recommend this set without hesitation. People talk about the "Sony tax", but to me you get what you pay for. Best TV I have ever owned and I am 73 years old.

    Absolutely no reflections!

That is what drew me to the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA 9 II True RGB 4K HDR Google TV with Gemini and Anti-Glare screen. We have windows and lights that can be seen in any other set. It's as if they aren't even there! Set-up can take a while and picture adjustments are ongoing. I guess I live too far out in the sticks to receive 4K signals but the HD and even SD look great. The ATSC 3.0 tuner can find channels my old set couldn't even with the same old antenna. There is a steep learning curve for an old guy like me. A manual with illustrations would have been nice. I have only had the set for 12 days so I can't give it four stars yet, but it may earn it later. NOTE: In the Bravia Sync settings I had to turn off "Power TV on with HDMI device". It began preventing turning on the set without doing a reset.

Questions & Answers

  • When wall mounting a Bravia 9 ii 65" TV, is there a clearance requirement due to either heat ventilation or acoustic interference above or below the TV?

Hi DLBellevue, To ensure proper heat ventilation and optimal performance from the up-firing and side-mounted Acoustic Multi-Audio+ speakers on your BRAVIA 9 II, we recommend maintaining a clearance of at least 10 cm (4 inches) around all sides of the television. Blocking the top or sides with shelves or tight enclosures can trap heat and interfere with the TV's immersive surround sound projection. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
