  A classic Hemingway story well told and acted

  This is Hemingway's first real novel, and the film does it justice in the manner and style of the fifties, even though the setting is the mid-1920s. For Hemingway buffs, it is priceless. Robert Taylor is very good as Jake, Eddie Albert is slightly miscast as his old high school buddy, but Ava Gardner and the rest of the cast are superb. It's a tale well told.

  Interesting love story set in Paris.

  A refreshing love story. Ava looked good and Tyrone was his handsome self. I found the bull fighting scenes interesting too.
