Q: Has any buyers had issues with LED lighting going out randomly on the inside of the fridge?
A: I purchased this refrigerator in April 2019. After a few month the lights stopped working. Unplugging the unit, then plugging it back in resolves but the lights eventually will go back out after time. A: No. Has plenty of room for a family of 4. At least for us. My wife likes the refrigerator so that means I love it. I suggest you look at one up close and evaluate.
A: No you can not get half gallon containers of ice cream in it. I have to use the bottom drawer to hold my ice cream. Don't know if the top one could be removed or not, but I like the 2 drawers over the bottom big drawer as I can arrange my freezer items a lot better where I can see everything a glance.
A: We installed this refrigerator in a space that was made for a counter-depth refrigerator. The depth of this model is about 4 inches deeper than the counter-depth refrigerator that we replaced. The new refrigerator fits fine in the space and the doors allow for a full opening without restriction. However, if one of the sides is flush with a wall that extends beyond the door opening, the access to the interior will be restricted and would limit the "full view" and full access when both french doors are opened.
Q: What type of compressor does this have.....is it the linear compressor?
A: No this does not use the LG Linear. This is not an LG product and is actually better. The linear compressors dont last and you will loose food and money if you buy anything with the LG linear. Their claim to fame Is how quiet they are but when your food spoils and they won’t cover the repair over $1000 after only owing it one year you will want to choke someone. It happened to us 2 times In less than 30 months of owning a linear compressor $5000 LG fridge and never again The Whirlpool or Maytag brands are the best.

Very disappointed
I purchased this fridge with the greatest of expectations. It's a name brand and it is made in America - what a great way to support our workers. Well- Whirlpool has done nothing but disappoint me. The fridge was less than a year old and the ice maker and the user interface board needed replacing - a week later we needed a sensor and a main circuit board. (wondering what is next) Whirlpool promised me (and the service company) they would expedite the part - since we were living out of a cooler- and they sent it ground. It took over a week. I love the shelves - how easy they are to clean - I love the lighting - (which is out too) It stores plenty - it has convenient drawers. It's beautiful - but Whirlpool sucks... and will do nothing. I have GSP, but the first year you have to go through Whirlpool..grrrrrr

Best brand and reliability Refrigerators!
I am writing to you all to let you know why I will never buy anything but Whirlpool. If you have a LG or thinking LG because if their “ fake reviews” stay away. How does spending $3500 for a NEW refrigerator in 2016 sound and then in 2018 having the compresor go out, paying $1000 to replace it then having it go out again in 2020 and again loosing $300 plus of food and being told by LG that they would only cover the part and spend $700.00 again. I literally have no patience for a company that refuses to honor their 10 year sealed unit warranty in full and took 14 days to finally show up at my house to tell m le I would still owe 700: their repairman said “ I don’t recommend LG Samsung or GE they are full of issues and mask the poor quality with trendy looks and gimmicks in the refrigerators. Before buying the Lg I had a WHIRPOOL for 12 years before selling our home and leaving that fridge behind and had to buy new when we moved to the new home. Was fooled by their reviews. If you look up Linear compressors you will find out why I’m so mad about that experience. I just spent another big chunk on this Whirlpool and will only buy their refrigerators! It works perfect, is functional and has no nonsense!

Huge Fridge
I have had the fridge for 2 months now and I love it. The middle drawer is amazing and the having 3 levels in the freezer provides a lot is space and organization. There several other hidden compartments. Lots is space in the doors. The only con is that the ice makes on the fridge doesn’t make a lot of ice. But that is ok for us we only have 2 people in our household. But I think this could be an issue for a large family. Otherwise this is a great fridge. With plenty of space.
