Great surge protector and the price is right
||Posted .This product is a nice combination of multi-outlets and surge protector. It was perfect to accommodate the electrical needs for our Sleep Number bed and the warming blanket. Given its features and flexibility for use, the price was also very good and it made my decision to buy it an easy one.

Just a Power Strip
||Posted .In the age of non-consistently placed wall outlets(upside down or not), it amazes me how brands want to put angled plugs on their cords. Why?

Works fine, no complaints
||Posted .I've been using the Insignia surge protector for a month now and haven't had any issues with it. I have an Epson LCD projector, small Kegerator, counter top popcorn machine, and surround sound speaker system plugged into it and haven't had any glitches, trips, power losses, or damage to the equipment. You know a surge protector is working when you don't have to worry about it and I haven't had to worry about this. I went with the Insignia surge protector as it had a flat plug for the AC prongs as my outlet is right up against the back of my couch leaving little room to plug anything else in. It was also inexpensive and had a large number of outlets for its price.

As good as more expensive brands
||Posted .This was one of those purchases that I made while at Best Buy for another product. It was on sale and after seeing it reminded me I needed a new one anyway. My older surge protector did not have as many outlets so I was running out of room. This surge proctector allowed me to divvy up items. The layout is useful because the spacing allows for some of those bigger plugs that tend to cover up the outlet next to it. Don't know if I have had any surges to say whether there was protection, but it hasn't given me any problems and the equipment plugged into it is still work fine. Compared to other more expensive models/brand, this works just as well at a better price.

Excellent Value
||Posted .Good quality surge protection for a relatively low cost. Position of the plug sockets means you'll need less power strips overall. For example those bulky plugs for printers, cable modems, shredders, etc can fit on the surge protector without covering other sockets. The number of sockets is also a plus, my office literally went from 8 wall plugs in use to just two. Plugging in a TV, cable TV box, two computers, two monitors, a cable modem, shredder, printer, phone, router, LAN over electricity adapter and various device chargers took every plug socket on 4 walls of my office. I now use two surge protectors plus one wall socket for the LAN adapter (cannot be plugged into a power strip). Cable management is no longer a sprawling nightmare across the office, everything fits tidily into two spaces.

Lots of electrical connects
||Posted .Has plenty of electrical connections and helps me to integrate many of the gadgets I have, telephone, Television, Bluray player, VHS and DVD players, cable box, modem and router for my wireless internet. Great buy if many connections are needed. I would recommend it for the quality and price of this excellent unit

Q: QuestionWill this fit a Cat 5 Connector?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No Cat 5 connection, only electrical outlets. Some surge protectors have that capability and some also have phone line/modem line protector functions, but not this one.

Q: QuestionIf one (or more) outlet(s) were to fail, what indications indicate that? This unit replaces another strip whose 6 outlets failed to function, yet there was no failure indication provided by that other brand to save me the time-consuming effort to determine why I lost power to those six items (including two computers, a monitor, etc. My question is based on how best to diagnose what is wrong, should an outlet fail in the future.
Asked by Allen.
- A:Answer Honestly, The best way for me to see if it is a wall outlet that has failed or if it is the unit outlet. is to plug it into a known functioning outlet. So if everything in the power strip fails, take a lamp for example and take it to an outlet in your house that you know works. If you plug in the strip and the lamp works, then just one by one go down the plug till the lamp doesn't light up. If the lamp lights up on every strip outlet, then it is most likely the wall outlet, if it fails on on of the strip outlets when testing you know it is the strip.
