Q: How to clean this ice maker

Q: How close is the small size bullet cube in relation to the nugget ice?

Q: Does filling the water holding tank one time produce enough ice to fill the storage bin? Also, will this machine maintain a full storage bin if not emptied, even if by way of melting and recycling the recovered water?

Q: Does this unit keep the ice frozen, or does the ice melt and the unit recycles the water back to ice.

A: The ice melts, and it recycles the water. It keeps the ice frozen for quite awhile. I have left it overnight and still had a little bit of ice in it.

Q: I like the size of my ice comparable to Sonic or Chic fil a, is the small size like this?

Q: My Newair (40clearice) will not cucle to the release of the ice and will continue to feed water creating a giant block of ise. We have tried holding the power button down for 5 secods and it still wont cycle. Please help. its 2 years old

Q: If the ice basket is not placed in the ice maker will the ice marker still work? Someone gave my mom the ai-100s but she realized the basket was missing. She tried to use it without the basket but it won’t work. Wondering if the basket is the issue or not

Great help for summer entertaining!
Got this a month or so ago and has been a great unit to help with the ice supply during summer BBQs and stuff instead of having to grab bags of ice. This machine just kept popping out fresh ice for drinks and that was awesome!

Great ice maker-takes some time to make
We like this ice maker and it meets our needs because we don't need large quantities of ice. It takes a bit of time to make the ice so you need to plan ahead. It takes an hour to fill the little ice cube holder inside the unit. That's enough to fill about a 32 oz glass for an example of the volume. I am okay with that, we just let it keep going and stick a ziplock of cubes in the freezer. The ice cubes are hollow as they drop off the freezing rods- I've never used hollow cubes before! But the medium size is plenty big and they do not melt right away. There are three sizes, just haven't used them all yet so can't comment. Small probably freezes much fast than medium. I expect large would take way too long for me to wait. The ice does not melt too quickly- so happy with that. It's bigger than I thought it would be, but worth finding a place for it! I am really happy we purchased it!
