FIFA15 = Excellent!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went looking for a FIFA Soccer game for my brother and was unsure if I should get FIFA14 or FIFA15. The Best Buy assistant showed me where both games were located and gave me a review on each game. He made my decision very easy and reassured me that I made a good choice! My brother was extremely happy and we pulled an "All Nighter" playing the game that night!

GREAT FOR LIMITED SPACE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PURCHASED THIS TV/DVD PLAYER FOR MY WIFE. SINCE SHE SPENDS A LOT OF TIME IN THE KITCHEN, SHE WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WOULD ALLOW HER TO KEEP UP WITH NEWS AND OTHER EVENTS WHILE SHE BAKES. SINCE SPACE IS LIMITED, IT WAS IMPORTANT THAT THE TV BE SOMEWHAT COMPACT. THE INSIGNIA TV/DVD PLAYER WITH A 28" SCREEN FIT THE DEMAND . THE PICTURE WAS VIRTUALLY PERFECT FROM INITIAL SETUP REQUIRING ONLY MINOR PERSONAL ADJUSTMENTS. SOUND WAS IMPRESSIVE WITH BUILT IN SPEAKERS. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMBINATION TV/DVD PLAYER.

Good Quality, Features not so great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV/DVD combo has a great picture. Because I'm using it with an antenna, I have to change channels on the TV - don't have a cable box to change the channels. It's frustrating that the TV doesn't default to digital channel "xx.1", which is the channel I want over 90% of the time. I have two other digital TVs that default to the ".1" channel, but on this TV I have to type 4.1, 5.1, 9.1 etc. Also, when I push the "INFO" button, the information is displayed for only about 3 or 4 seconds. If the information is lengthy, I have to push the "INFO" button multiple times to read the entire description. On my other TVs the display stays up much longer, or until I press the "INFO" button again to remove the display. Also, my other TVs display INFO on what's on now and with an additional push of the INFO button it shows what's on next. With this TV I have to wait until the next show comes on to find out what it is and it's description. It seems like this could all be "fixed" with a programming change. All of these "problems" will, of course, go away if I ever subscribe to cable service.

Good picture, sound and size for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv was purchased to replace a 19" Proscan w/built in DVD player that I purchased 4 months ago for my mom at RC WILLEY in Orem UT. It was terrible. Too small, but the right price. Bad sound, and unless looking straight on, the picture looked like a negative. I didn't pay much more for the Best Buy tv, but got 9 more inches, better sound, a better picture (which can be seen at all angles) oh yeah, and the remote is easier to use for my elderly mom. The only issue I have with it is, (since it was an open box sale) the sales associate had to go find the remote. He did, and even hooked up the tv to see if it worked. He said the instruction manual was in the bag, so I believed him and did not double check. Now I am in UT, with a nice working tv, but no instructions, again for my elderly, less apt to experiment to see how things work, mom. Do you have someone who can help us order one?

Great product for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a "nothing fancy but gets the job done" television to use in a small study group setting for viewing DVDs. This handles the job nicely. The picture quality is better than most TVs in this price range and the built in DVD player is a nice plus. The only downsides that come to mind are: 1) The speakers aren't the greatest. I have to put the volume on 80-85 just to get a comfortable listening level in a small 15 x 15 room. 2) The DVD player could be a little quieter. As the disc spins up it is sometimes pretty noticeable. Again, though, for the price it's doing its job nicely.

Overall, this is a very nice, high quality product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent selection and purchase. The size is ideal, video is beautiful and is small enough to allow for excellent digital clarity. Connections are well placed on this unit and easy to find and hook into. The menu options are ideally placed and user-friendly. I was trying to re-position the Closed Caption placement, but perhaps just couldn't find a way to. Audio seemed like it was just slightly missing some fullness after my previous dated JVC box unit, but am fine with it now. I would recommend this product for its quality, reliability, and clarity.

nothing fancy , nice upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice upgrade to old home..didn't want to go over board when upgrading my uncles old picture box. Great for when he feels like watching a movie randomly every full moon. I like to play my audio cds on it while I clean. Nice features as far as channel list. Its a little bit of a lag than what I'm used to when changing the channels. Ii would've gone a bit fancier for myself but this was a great transition for someone a bit older and scared of technology

Easy to install and use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased unit to use with an exercise bike. Wanted a TV/DVD that was easy to use for electronics challenged bike riders. It met that perfectly. Good price, good picture. Have 3 other Insignia brand TVs and all have have been great since day one. Would buy another Insignia anytime if it fits the bill.

Q: QuestionCan you hook up video games to this V?We have a PS3 and Wii
Asked by Wendy.
- A:Answer Yes they should work, you could even hook them both up and leave them hooked up if you buy the HDMI cable for one or both consoles. The TV has component /composite connections IE (white, red, yellow , green RCA connectors), 3 HDMI connections, 1 DVI Connector. Wii connects via component or composite depending which cable you have, one is high definition and the other is not. You can buy a HDMI adapter from Amazon to connect via HDMI if you want. WiiU connects via HDMI PS3 comes with a composite AV cable, but you can buy High defination cables for it as well component and HDMI to name two of them.

Asked by Kato.
- A:Answer I have used mine as a monitor several times and have had no issues. Generally using it for email / productivity, etc. Text looks crisp to me. I don't like going back to my 22 inch monitors after using this.

Q: Questionwill this tv work if we are off grid
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Sure, but you will need an antenna for TV... The DVD, of course, doesn't matter. I have mine in an RV in the boonies and get 16 channels from a major city that is over 45 miles away using a super slim flat amplified digital antenna. Picture is crisp and clear as the DVD.
