Easy install works great
I bought the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Enhanced to replace my old thermostat and honestly expected it to be a bigger headache to install than it was. It ended up being pretty straightforward. The app basically walks you through everything step by step. It tells you to shut off the breaker, remove the old thermostat, and then shows exactly where each wire should go on the new one. The terminals are clearly labeled and the mounting plate went on the wall easily. I’m not an HVAC guy by any means, but the whole process took me maybe 30–40 minutes taking my time. Once it was wired up, the thermostat powered right on and guided me through the rest of the setup. Connecting it to Wi-Fi and finishing the configuration through the app was simple. Now that it’s installed, it’s been working really well. The temperature in the house stays steady and the system kicks on exactly when it should. Being able to adjust the thermostat from my phone is honestly one of my favorite parts. If I’m out or just don’t want to get off the couch, I can change the temperature instantly. Overall I’m really happy with it. Installation was way easier than I expected and it’s been running smoothly ever since. If you’re thinking about upgrading to a smart thermostat but are worried about the install, this one is very doable.

Best Thermostat
This thing is incredible. It’s expensive but it works great with my Apple HomeKit setup. I have it set to change temperature when I’m going to bed, when I leave the house, when I come home, and when I wake up. It comes with a vacation feature for when you’re not gonna be home. It comes with energy saving features. It comes with a replace filter reminder that you can adjust to your liking. I have no regrets buying this. My only problem is the schedule feature. It’s very confusing and they don’t provide the best tutorials on how to use it well. But it doesn’t matter since I use HomeKit for my automations so I don’t use it.

Better Than Nest
Needed a thermostat, after realizing that my next thermostat was causing my a c unit to blow excessively hard. After reading several reviews, I landed on the Ecobee. I bought a two pack of sensors so have a total of three sensors connected.They do a better job than my own nest.Thermostat did with regulating the temperature on the downstairs level of my house. I prefer the touchscreen and graphic interface of the unit and the app interface to google's Nest, which can seem clunky. I waited after several weeks of use to write my review. I'm more than satisfied with the purchase. Installation was seameless. I did originally purchased the Essential Model but realized I have a C Wire. Returned and upgraded to the mid level model. I would have been just as satisfied with the top end model.
