Using this for Steam Deck via 8bitdo Adapter
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Currently using this for my steam deck via 8bitdo adapter. One major issue currently is that it doesn't work very well with games that require using the right joystick when in bluetooth mode. The only way for me to get the controller to work correctly is by buying a separate 8bitdo wireless dongle (brick color or new dark color is fine) and pair it using a usb c to usb a adapter and putting that on the steam deck. This allows the controller to go into x-input mode which is perfect for Steam. Also note this does NOT work for iPhone devices. This is meant for android and pc. It also does not work on Xbox console devices weirdly. Overall it's a nice little controller to use on the go with my steam deck when playing classic games. D Pad feels great for fighting games (played street fighter v). Triggers are decent and buttons feel good too. Joysticks are alright, but wish they had more heft. I couldn't figure out what the star button does but the 8bitdo button takes screen shots on the steam deck.

Good mobile controller for Xcloud
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very solid for use with XCloud and games on mobile designed to work with a controller. Clips on easy, very sturdy, and the buttons feel good. The clip isn't the easiest thing to take with you on the go, since its very oddly shaped and doesn't fold up flat, so if you're looking for something that you can put in a pocket to have a handheld gaming experience on the run its a little cumbersome, unless you have a bag or something that you can store the clip in. Battery life is surprisingly good as well for something so small. I would not recommend for someone looking to do game streaming from your PC using Steamlink or an app like Parsec. For some odd reason, the PC does not read the controller inputs right, it gets several of the buttons swapped and can not seem to find the 'resting' position of the triggers. The problem only occurs when streaming from a PC, and happens regardless of what mobile device I'm testing with. I believe it to most likely be a driver issue, but unfortunately driver support for this device is basically non-existent. So to recap, yes for those looking to play games from Xcloud or games designed for mobile, no for anyone looking to use their mobile for game streaming from their PC.

A good traveling xbox-like controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to use this as a smaller Xbox controller that I can take with me on trips connected to my windows 10 laptop. After some huffing and puffing and configuring through steam as an xbox controller, this works just like an xbox controller. Love that the trigger buttons are analog. Yes, it is smaller, and a little harder to hold, after a while, but this is what I was looking for....a smaller controller. Yes, officially works for bluetooth Android, but with some configurations, can work under bluetooth through Steam.

Works well, a bit small but solid for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for xbox game pass ultimate, good value. Have one of their SN30Pro+ for retro games on the switch and had a positive experience with that thought I might give this a try pretty compact but makes sense for this use case as its more convenient than carrying around a full sized xbox controller and seems more functional than one would think. Was actually able to play through the preamble to Doom Eternal on gamepass which says a fair amount response time is crucial to making through a single round of that game. Good value and compact design a servicable controller for gamepass.

Great portable controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love the analog triggers and having the ability to customize the sensitivity with the pc software program 8bitdo provides. I can now play games that require analog triggers specially my emulation retro games. Drawback is that it only connects to android devices but is ok because thats all I use them for. Soon will played them with Xbox game cloud service. Portability can’t be beaten.

Decent but not flexible
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent controller to play xcloud games on your phone. I have been able to pair it with my android phone and pixelbook. Unfortunately it does not pair with PCs, so it is not a one stop shot for travel controllers. Overall, it works good when paired with a phone, is reasonably responsive and easy to pair.

Q: QuestionYeah, super nintendo and playstation had a baby... somehow it's an xbox? Dig the look, how do the buttons and analog sticks feel compared to Dual Shock 4 and Xbox One (Standard) controllers?
Asked by SNES4EVER.
- A:Answer Compared to the official DS4 and Xbox One controllers the 8bitdo quality is a little lower and it’s definitely not as heavy - but it doesn’t feel like it will break anytime soon. The buttons are comparable to a quality SNES controller and the analog sticks are almost as good as a Logitech controller. So it’s not the best in any category but for the price I’d still recommend it.
