A great adaption of a beloved book
An Irish writer named Siobhan Dowd, was at work on 'A Monster Calls' while she was fighting cancer. She didn't live to finish it. Patrick Ness wrote the book & Jim Kay illustrated it. This movie is a loving adaption of the book. In the book and the movie a Yew Tree (or Tree of Life) is a big part of the story The 'World Tree' is one of the oldest symbols of the mystical union of human and nature. Great movie, intense for young kids
Great movie about a boy facing his fears as his whole world falls apart. Be sure you have tissues handy. A little intense for young kids.

fun film more monsters
monster films that are enjoyable come and go as this film shows us friendship trials good evil and all the things that make a good movie the development of sci fi monsters and there appearances sometimes makes a like able story or the more hideous a monstrosity to see but overall monsters where made to be monsters
