A Quiet Place [SteelBook] [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [Only @ Best Buy] [2018]

A Quiet Place should be prefaced by a disclaimer that, while purposeful, requires a quiet audience. I have a hearing problem, and was really intrigued by a film that openly communicates its use, advocact, and support of ASL and the deaf community. That said, the sound design was top notch, and only added to the overall tension of the setting amidst creatures who hunt solely by transmitted sound. It should come as no surprise that the chemistry between Emily Blunt & John Krasinski is tender, and real given their IRL pairing, but they each rise to bring more than just standard fair suspense/thriller dynamics to the forefront. Millicent Simmonds is an absolute pleasure and her angsty & emotionally tortured portrayal of Regan Abott often anchors the story into the realm of psychological drama. As I watched, it was clear how much emotion and purpose was behind each sign she delivered. Frustration, anger, sorrow, and fear...each were hard to ignore as Millie delivered her first fantastic starring role. A Quiet Place earned its spot among my top horror/suspense/thriller movies, and I highly recommend all to check it out.

This Movie is very Good that it can keep you Entertained from Beginning to End and it’s Razor Sharp in 4K UHD with HDR and Dolby Vision makes it a more Vivid and it’s Sound of Dolby Atmos is Amazing and it’s to Show Off your Atmos Elevation Speakers or In-Ceiing Speakers it’s a very Atmospheric Movie Sound coming Above your Head. Very Happy Eith this Purchase. :)

Great movie with a lot of twists and jump scares. Highly recommend it

This is an excellent movie. You would think a movie about keeping quiet would have lack luster sound. Think again the Atmos sound mix in this movie is the best I've ever heard. This is definitely refernce material.

After The Office, Jim finds a new home in the outskirts of town with a lovely new family!.. the movie is flawless, blacks are ink black color is fantastic and overall picture quality is crisp! Sound is key hear, 100% of the movie is based on sound. Well done very happy!

Even though there is not much dialog. This movie puts you right in the action. Especially if you have a home theater! 4k is amazing!

Pros: Does not measure up to the hype but it is great to watch as much as it was to watch Stranger Things, it’s on that similar vibe. Dolby Vision that looks impressive on my calibrated OLED Dolby Atmos shined. Digital Copy. Slipcover. Cons: Overrated reputation.
