this is what freaks me out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.go on & see this one please before american film makers finish the remake which i'm certainly not planing to see. by far, this has to be one of teh best asian horror films i've ever had the pleasure to rent or own. supposedly based upon an old koren folktale, a tale of two sisters works well on many different levels. the atmospher is extremely creepy & the isolated lakehouse is usually not well-lit making the perfect location for eerie activity to take place. don't walk into this one expecting a great deal of action or gore. in fact, you might be glad the film was subdued when you reach the film's ending. the ending will surprise you, shock you, & might even have you rewinding or re-viewing chapters again. tale has all the themes which make a great film such as betrayal, innocence, & unexpected tragedy. while many could easily classsify the film as melodramatic or simply a film which examines dysfunctional families, one couldn't deny the jarring effect it will have on it's audience. you may not understand everything you witness on the initial viewing but there are interviews with the cast & it's director which will help. i recommend seeing the film first so as not to ruin the overall experience for yourself.
I would recommend this to a friend
