Refurbished Acer R 11 Convertible 2-in-1 Chromebook: The 360° hinge features dual-torque technology, so the panel is very easy to open, but locks in place when you tap, swipe and pinch on the touchscreen - for wobble-free touch control. The panel senses when you place it upside down for "tent mode", prompting the image and audio channels to flip over automatically.
The Chromebook R 11 sports a premium aluminum top panel that is made even more attractive with a unique engraving-like pattern. Acer uses special nano-imprint technology to create this sophisticated texturing that helps you to grip the notebook firmly - and which looks as good as it feels.
With the MIMO 802.11ac wireless technology under the hood, this Chromebook boasts very fast wireless connection speeds and longer signal ranges. It also outperforms most other Chromebooks with its impressive Intel processor that's based on Braswell micro-architecture, giving it the power to support another rarity for a Chromebook, a super-fast USB 3.0 port.

Q: Does this run android apps?
A: Yes, the Acer R11 was actually one of the first of the 3rd generation Chromebooks that Google announced would be compatible with running Android on Chromebooks. Instructions can be found here: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/7021273?hl=en
Q: what type of warranty is included for the refurbished models?
A: From the Acer advertisement for the same unit: If you Google it, it comes up as the Acer part number for the re-certified unit (as advertised): Acer Chromebook, 11.6", Intel Celeron 1.60 GHz, 4GB Ram, 16 GB Flash, Chrome OS- CB5-132T-C8ZW | Factory Recertified. Coincidentally, it shows the condition as : Factory Recertified Fully Functional - refurbished by the factory 14 Day Refund - No Exchanges Accepted (from Acer, NOT BB) Warranty 90 Day (Again, from Acer, NOT BB) I'm guessing the same terms probably apply. I wouldn't expect more than 90 days.

A: No, the unit does not have a CD/DVD drive, nor does it have the licensed codecs to decode an external USB DVD drive. It is great for watching videos however. Just get them online (play store to rent movies, youtube, hulu, netflix, etc.) or download them as files.
