Activision - Tony Hawk: RIDE with Skateboard Controller for PlayStation 3

I bought this for my son's birthday the day it came out. The skateboard controller was broken, brand new from the box. I returned it for one that actually worked but I haven't been very impressed yet. The concept is really cool but the actual gameplay can be frustrating. It takes alot of getting used to. (Both my son and I skate in real life.) The turning is very frustrating. Very difficult to get it right and the skater will do random tricks on it's own. The lagging is sometimes bad too. I would say this game is cool for younger kids. Be sure play in a big space if possible because the slick board will not stay in one place like the commercial! I came close to fipping on my back doing a trick on my carpet. I recommend the game to try something new.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. It was very easy to set up, and it actually gives him a bit of a workout. He enjoys the different instructional portions and the courses do provide some direction as well. The graphics are also very nicely done. Our friends' children LOVE playing it when they come over, too. The only bad thing was that when we first got it, it kept freezing up until we downloaded the latest update to our PS3- which took 30 min. I had originally bought this from the military exchange and was disappointed that they wouldn't price match, so I unwrapped it and returned it after buying it from Bestbuy.com for $30 cheaper just days before Christmas. I was able to go in to the store and show my online purchase and I didn't have to face the possibility of a hair pulling match with someone else who wanted the same thing. I would buy this again!

I purchased this item on clearance at my local Best Buy and figured for the price I paid, how could I go wrong?! It is pretty fun for me, actually a pretty good workout. My 2 kids (3 &7) love it. It is very user friendly and even the 3 year old who just kind of wiggles and jumps on the board can manage to complete the levels. My whole family ended up playing it for hours the night we bought it but have not played it since. It is just a little cumbersome retrieving and syncing more plastic adapters and peripherals. Overall, it is a good game, and was a great value for the money.

THIS TONY HAWK RIDE WAS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MY 11 YEAR OLD GRANDSON.THE GAME WORKED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME CHRISTMAS DAY.,ITWILL NOT LOAD IN THE PS3.WE CHANGED THE BATTERIES IN THE SKATE BOARD AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. I EMAILED AND CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AS INSTRUCTED.THIS ISSUE STILL HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED.THIS GAME STILL IS NOT WORKING.

Beware that this product arrives in its original packaging with a see-through top to the box. When mine arrived, my son answered the door and immediately saw his 'suprise' Christmas present.

I am a huge game player and i like a lot of games but this one is ranked my best game it is very fun to play i play it all the time and i dont get boared of it. The game takes a while to get used to but i got the hang of it pretty quick.

Boards Power system faulty. First unit wouldn't power on on Christmas morning. I exchanged it for another which also only powers on sporadically. Three of my sons friends have had the same problem. Basically it is a piece of junk.

This was a great christmas gift idea for my two boys. It was easy to hookup and the game is great. Also the price at bestbuy was by far the lowest i had found anywhere.
