The very best air purifier
I bought this product because of it's reviews and lifetime warranty. Most of all various options for filters. The unit is fantastic, and the air quality in the bedroom, which has one window only, has improved greatly. ALEN is a recognized company that has a great reputation. I was tempted to purchase a less expensive air purifier, I am so glad I did not. Believe it or not the unit actually functions as an Air Circulator as well... Could not be happier. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Stopped my Yorkie's itching and scratching
My 14 year old teacup Yorkie has suffered from allergies most of her life. I have probably made hundreds of trips to the Vet trying to get this problem under control over the years. They only know to give you drugs. I refused to put her on any steroidal drugs. As a last desperate effort to get her to stop her constant scratching and biting herself, I decided to try an Air Purifier. I researched various models and read numerous reviews and decided to purchase two Alen T500 systems. I installed one in the den and one in the great room. I turned them on two hours prior to bringing my teacup into the den and SHE DID NOT SCRATCH. She has NOT scratched since and this has been a week since purchasing these. PLEASE: If you have a small pet or child suffering from allergies get one (or more) of these. You will not be disappointed. I only wish I had done this years ago. It would have saved me thousands of dollars and much grief watching my teacup suffer.

Good product
Bought this for my 850sf apt which my self and 2 small children live in. My apt is above a business and the guy downstairs smokes. The pervious tenants for the apt had cats. I could definitely smell smoke and cats on the regular. Since those factors couple with the fact that my son is prone to respiratory issues during the cold seasons and my daughter is allergic to cats I decided to try an air purifier to help eliminate some of these factors. Since I can close off 1/2 the apt from the other I generally alternate the side of the apt I run this purifier. I definitely noticed a difference in the overall smell of the apt since running it. And notice when I don't run it for a few days the smells tend to return a little bit. Even levaing the apt open to all 850sf this purifier makes a difference when I run it. I generally turn it on high when I'm leaving for work and let it run. I can set the timer to turn off after so many hours which is nice. I have noticed that the air fresheners I use get sucked up too so it's not just the bad smells getting eliminated. On the low setting I can't even tell it's on expect for a little air flow. I tend to use this setting at night in the kids room. The medium setting I can hear it a little and feel air flow more but it's not bothersome. The high setting definitely louder and I wouldn't run if I were trying to watch a movie of sleep and air flow is intense. I'll probably use it as a fan not the summer. maintenance seems low just change the filter when the filter lift comes on. I've had it 2 months and run it 4-5times a week for 6 hours a run. Haven't had to replace it yet. I'm pleased with this purifier and I'd buy it again :)
