Q: Can I add a m.2 to make more storage? If possible which type of m.2 would fit?
A: The Alienware 16 Area-51 AA16250 supports up to M.2 2280 SSD slots and one M.2 2230 or 2280 SSD slots. M.2 2230 solid state drive (supported on SSD-1 slot on your computer) - Up to 1 TB, M.2 2280 solid state drive (supported on SSD-1, SSD-2, and SSD-3 slots on your computer) - Up to 4 TB and M.2 2280 solid state drive - 2 TB of capacity
A: No, not effectively. While the laptop includes Thunderbolt ports, USB-C charging is not supported as the primary power source. You must use the original charger for full performance and stability, especially during gaming or heavy workloads. Dell Pro Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock – SD25TB4 is compatible.
Q: Does this come with the RJ45 ethernet dongle?
A: It does not, but! You can buy a good usb c hub with ethernet port and it will connect just like it has one! (Some games if you're a gamer might have trouble, but for most activities it seems to work fine. Only game that has been picky for me was FFXIV in game, but downloading updates was fine.)
A: This current configuration is shipped with 32 GB Memory. However, we couldn't confirm if its 1x32 GB or 2x16 GB Memory. Hence if you want to upgrade to 64 GB Memory you would need to either replace both 16 GB Memories or add one additional 32GB memory based on the configuration you receive.
Q: What type of warranty does this come with?
A: It is Basic Onsite Service after Remote diagnosis
Q: Does this model have the cherry MX switch keyboard?
A: This configuration uses Low-Profile Keyboard with AlienFX per-key lighting.
A: Yeah, it has 2 ram slots, and 3 slots for SSDs.

It’s an amazing machine but the issue is the screen. Mine had very noticeable screen bleed. Simply unacceptable for a price this high. They are selling people short by sticking with these dinosaur screens. I’ve used LCD Panels that make this one look pathetic. What’s the point of having this crazy powerful machine if its display can’t even create the best picture. I traded for the Rog Zyphrus G16 and even though it’s not as flashy, it’s way better value for your money. The display is stunning and makes the most of its powerful specs. And it’s is an incredible looking machine in its own right. Very thin/sleek model but still has an exceptional cooling system. I would recommend getting the G16 unless your just gonna use the Area 51 with an external Display.

Good thermal performance. Excellent CPU performance (172W) Excellent laptop at surface value. Ultimately returned the device due to excessive light-bleed and the Thunderbolt 5 ports on the device did not work reliably with my eGPU or dock. Battery life is abysmal, not sure if this will be fixed in future updates but 2.5hrs worth of web-surfing is unacceptable. This device should have had a MUX or similar to force integrated graphics on. Device of this size and weight ought to be closer to 5 but that's likely because the fans to not support 0db mode.
