Alpha Dog [WS] [DVD] [2006]

This movie is great, particularly if you follow true crime, were in your late teens or early 20s during the late 90s and early 2000s, or have any interest in the Jesse James Hollywood story. Timberlake is actually a decent actor in this flick. It's got the great Emile Hirsch, an up-and-coming Anton Yelchin, and my goofy favorite Shawn Hatosy (from The Faculty fame). Also includes Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone in a fat suit. Seriously. Breakout performance by Ben Foster, and a cameo from boxer Fernando Vargas.

This movie is really good but extremely sad at the end.

This movie surpassed my expectations. Timberlake and the entire cast did a great job of acting.

Classic. Couldn't find this movie in stores so bad to buy it here.

I wanted to buy this movie -- lucked out and Best Buy had it on BluRay.

Alpha Dog (based on a true story) is a good Monday night movie. Just starting your week, you don't want to think to much about anything, and this movie gives you that opportunity, but not in a bad way. It's a pretty simple plot, involving some interesting characters and senarios. Guy owes drug dealer money, can't pay him, says he'll kill him, drug dealer pseudo-kidnaps deadbeat's younger brother. Ends up showing the kid the time of his life, before realizing the cops have been informed and the kid becomes a liability. Good performances from Emile Hirsch and Justin Timberlake, and Ben Foster plays a great addict. Worth checking out.

I loved the movie. It's excellently filmed. I'm a big Justin Timberlake fan but all of the actors are amazing. The story was sad because it's a real-life murder story but it's got a great message. In my opinion, the movie shows the consequences of kids' actions when they're on the wrong side of the tracks. This movie is much more than just adult content & drugs.

It's a heartfelt nerve-wracking drama be prepared to cry
