Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Bought this as a birthday present for my husband and he was so excited when he opened it and saw what it was. I was disappointed when he opened it and tried to use it but it didn’t work and after some research I discovered that it wouldn’t work to charge the Google phone he has unless we bought a battery that had to be connected to the bottom of this phone and then placed on the back of this phone. We did buy the battery from somewhere else and it worked but I wish I had known that before I bought it. The numbers are also really bright at night but it doesn’t bother us.

Great except one fatal flaw

Quality1 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The clock features 3 brightness levels for the time display. Unfortunately, after setting it to the dimmest, it just changes to the brightest level after a couple hours. Not a good glitch in a dark bedroom in the middle of the night. I called Aluratek and they assured me this was an anomoly so I brought it to BB and exchanged it for another which they shipped to the store. (They were charging for shipping if sent to my home - on a defective exchange!) 2nd one did the same thing. Needless to say, I returned it.

Alarm Clock with Amazing features

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I think this product is awesome, especially around Christmastime. It’s a clock, an alarm, and a phone charger all at the same time. This product is a perfect gift for the young and the old. Actually, this is an amazing gift for myself, but if one of my kids wants it, then it would be a great gift for them, also. Thanks, Best Buy for having great gift ideas.

Quality2 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I picked this up on sale intending to use it merely as a charger. Works ok for that purpose. Extremely lightweight and hollow sounding as if it has no innards.

Q: QuestionI keep turning the brightness level on the clock down to the dimmest setting, but later in the day the clock will automatically change to the brightest setting. Is there any way to stop this from happening?
Asked by Holyy53.
- A:Answer Mystery solved. First make sure am/pm setting is correct (if not on military time). If the time is set correctly this is what to expect. At any time the brightness level of the time display can be adjusted with the +/- buttons on right side of the clock. You can toggle from high, medium, low, and off. Note; Just the display is off. It will keep charging your device and keep time. But no matter what level of brightness you choose, this clock will AUTOMATICALLY make these three changes. 1) At 7am/0700 the display goes to full brightness. 2) At 6pm/1800 the display will dim to medium. 3) At midnight/000 the display will dim to low. At 7am it will repeat the cycle back to full brightness. If the light is too bright; dim it. If it’s too dim; brighten it. Just keep in mind the clock will make those changes no matter what brightness level you have chosen. I think it’s perfect in that regard. But this clock has other quirks and anomalies that make it a questionable purchase.

Asked by Tonij.
- A:Answer I also have a 7. The reason why it isn’t charging is because only iPhone 8 and newer have the ability to have wireless charging done. The 7 or older wasn’t made with that feature .
