A: This processor supports DDR4 memory.
Q: What is the maximum memory supported by the processor?
A: The maximum memory supported is 128 gigabytes.
Q: What is the processor's base clock frequency?
A: The CPU base clock frequency is 3.8 gigahertz.
Q: How many cores does the processor have?
A: The processor has eight cores.
Q: IS THERE A CPU FAN IN THE BOX WITH THE CPU?
A: No, don't go putting aside nor throwing-away any functional product, especially if it already runs well as expected. One of my builds, features a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, which also came with a CPU fan (AMD Wraith) that barely cooled adequately for a resource demanding task. So I opted for an AIO water cooler instead (a Kracken 240, or another very popular and widely successful product Best Buy also sells) Then, firmly mounted the stock CPU cooler as a case fan, using zip-ties and/or mechanics wire, and wired it to any available fan header on the motherboard. Also, If the CPU fan has a tendency to run all out at max most of the time, or if the consistent high coil whine from the fan noise becomes too annoying. There's also section in most system BIOSes to adjust whatever fan speeds needed. Hope this may help anyone building and managing one's PC.
Q: Does this come with the cooler?
A: Yes I bought one from bestbuy and had them install it and it comes with a brand new cooler

I was hesitant to get this CPU. I thought of maybe going with an AM5 system but my budget was not enough. So far this has been a crusher. With just a simple OC within the AMD Adrenalin settings I am hitting over 5 ghz...not a typo...hitting 5 ghz with a simple OC. Voltage does not go above 1.488, The temp stays in the low 80's or lower. I did change the wraith prism cooler which was nice but did not keep it cool enough. I was only able to hit the 5 g mark with the cheap aftermarket cooler.

I paired the RYZEN 7 5800XT with an MSI B550 Tomahawk MB and an AMD rx7700 xt video card and 32 GB DDR4 3200 memory. It is air cooled with a dual fan cooler in a 7 fan case. I run Ghost Recon at all ultra settings on a 5160x1440 ultra widescreen OLED monitor at 80plus fps. Under heavy load it runs at about 75C and idles at 35 to 42C. It's single core speed and boost speed are it's strengths. If you are not chasing bragging stats and want a solid cpu this is a good choice. The X version has similar performance. I got the XT cheaper on sale at the time, probably because the XT was not a bargain comapted to the X. The XT is overclocked just a 100mhz over the X version, so that might be a better buy for the budget conscious. Obviously there are better options for users that heavily tax multicore processing like 4k video editing. Although with enough memory I suspect this would handle it. NOTE: If you can, turn any top of the case exhaust fans that are in front of your air cooled cpu around so they draw cool air for the CPU. It makes a difference. Thermal studies show this. Makes no sense to exhaust cool air the front fans have just drawn in immediately pull it out the top before it ever reaches the CPU and other case components.

Got this for an upgrade to my pc and all I can say is that it made it better. Also it comes with a cooler if you didn’t know, but only has one way to fit it and my case didn’t have that part.
