A: This price is if you activate and pay the Verizon $10 per month Cellular service. If you only want WiFi check out the WiFi only Ipads. They are cheaper (but do not allow you to add cellular later)
A: I did exactly that, still $10 a month for the additional device. Note you may have to pay another activation fee to Verizon, could be $30-$40 one time to add it.
