A: An iMac is more like a computer/monitor. A Macbook is a laptop. Often, Macs cost almost twice the price. I'd say the Macbook gets the job done since you can transport it place to place.
Q: Why doesn't the logo apple light up on the pro models anymore?
A: There really has never been a backlit logo, per se. The effect was achieved by allowing the backlight for the screen to shine through a hole in the case that was shaped like the Apple logo. In the MacBooks specifically, the case is so thin, cutting the hole for the logo would have weakened it.
A: Released in mid 2017. Cannot get much newer, and for Apple the current MacBook Pros are as new as you can get.
Q: Does this exact MacBook have the touch bar??
A: This one does not have the touch bar. If a Macbook does have the touch bar, then it should be listed in its name.

A: If you're referring to Apple Care, it is just a service plan for repairs... You keep the Macbook forever. I would highly recommend getting Apple Care though -- it will ease your mind in case something goes wrong with the laptop within 3 years.
