Q: How do I know if it is the touch bar version since it cant be seen in the picture
A: This one is a 2017 Macbook Pro model without the touch bar.
A: I feel like the laptop is aimed at different kind of customers, tablet is a media consumption device, unless you get a surface pro. But the macbook can run full programs as opposed to the ipad
Q: After installing the newest Mac OS how much room is left on the 256gb ssd?
A: A bit over 230gb. Mac OS Sierra is about 17~18gb on the MacBook Pro I purchased 2 weeks ago (promptly updated). Of course, that does not include the apps already on the system. With pre-installed apps, you're looking at something like 220gb (+/- 5gb). There are quite a few gigs which can be freed up there.
A: There are a couple of different companies that offer mini docking stations that plug into the two thunderbolt 3 ports that change to 2 USB, HDMI, 2 card readers. Belkin offers one.
