Great computer for photographic editing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the primarily for editing photos of Division I college sporting events. The retina screen is fantastic. The Iphoto editing program is nice. It's very easy to learn and does an adequate job. The speed is great. I hope to do more in the future,as I learn more about the computer and add the latest version of Lightroom.

Fast and capable computer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Macbook Pro 13" Retina is an awesome machine. The solid state drive makes powering up and opening apps super fast. I bought this to edit video content as my old computer couldn't handle the larger file sizes that all our cameras produce nowadays. 128 GB isn't a lot of memory, but with the aid of a USB 3.0 capable external hard drive, I'm able to handle and store all the large video files and projects I like. I highly recommend this as an entry level option if you're ok with carrying an external hard drive along.

Great MacBook, Damaged Packaging.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MacBook works great and I love it. It was a "Open Box" computer and it works really well, the condition was excellent like it was described to be in, as well as it came as you would expect it to come like apple shipped it (Minus the damaged packaging to the MacBook box). I am able to do multiple things on it that I would never be able to do on my old PC that I had before, overall the MacBook Pro 2015 is a great computer, multitasking is a thing it can do, little lag when attempting heavier projects! I love this MacBook and itll last me a couple years hopefully before I have to end up getting a new one.

Very nice computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer for my wife for Christmas it took a few days for her to get use to it, being her first Apple computer but so far she loves it for the online classes she is taking and also managing her photos of the family with the photo shop program she has. it has plenty of memory and is very fast. I would highly recommend this computer for any student or professional.

Yum!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I call her "Rah -teen - ah". Like a vision, I feel lucky enough to be able to afford such a magnificent machine! Seriously folks, I have owned a mac plus in '88 (still have her). a mac mini, a few imacs, a g4 tower, and a macbook. The latest blew up from a surge and never recovered. But "Rahteenah". Wow. This is the best mac I have ever owned. Everything works great, feels great and is smokin' fast. I am back in the land of the living with this baby! The screen is a work of art. If you spend over $800 for a pc, you need to call a psychiatrist. Cause u crazzzzyyyy! Don't miss out. Macintosh... there is no substitute! I know, I know....

Best laptop i've ever owned, & I hated Macs....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I once was that dude walking around saying in my head I will never buy a Macbook. It's simply overpriced. Yes, you can spend $1300 on another laptop and have a touch screen, 1TB Flash Drive, 32GB Ram powerhouse machine. But, when you purchase a laptop such as a macbook what you are really paying for is the integration between other devices. Such as my iPhone and Macbook, now it makes my life easy. Are you doing business on your laptop and receiving calls? It's all better when you can do everything your phone does on your laptop and vise versa.

still the best macbook to get
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As of today July 2015 the Macbook Pro is still the best macbook to get for overall ability. The macbook air is good for someone in school to surf the web, take notes, travel light, and stay in the apple eco system. the new "macbook" is similar to the air but with a retina screen like a pro and 1 usb-c port that will require you to buy adapters for flash drives and etc. So yes the macbook pro 2015 with the very useful new haptic track pad is the best macbook to get to date especially if you can get it slightly discounted at Best Buy !

Q: QuestionI'm not really a tech person, and I'm looking for a laptop for college that will last. I'm wondering if this is the latest model. I've seen the macbooks with the touch bars, but I have no need for it. I'm stuck between this one and the MacBook 12" w/256GB
Asked by Clueless.
- A:Answer While this may be the 2015 model, (in comparison to the late 2016 with touchbar) it is a perfectly capable machine, and depending on what you're looking for, may be a better choice for you. On the newest models, Apple has changed to a formatting of USB-C outlets, meaning you would have to buy additional cables in order to do things such as connecting a camera or any other thing of the sort. On this model you also have Mag-Safe, which is a magnetic charging system that breaks free of the device if someone were to trip over it, while the 2016 model does not. On the newest model, the only real improvement seems to be the touchbar feature, which is said to be glitchy and not useful by many. Apple machines are meant to last, and this 2015 model would most likely be a great choice for college. Since you mentioned the Macbook 12", I asked about this one for myself, and was told that if I was looking for a decent amount of power, (as in use for heavy video editing) it would probably be smarter to go with the Macbook Pro. I'm not quite sure about this, but I believe most of the features on the Macbook 12" (retina display, magsafe, outlets) should be similar to the ones on this Macbook Pro. It all depends on how much power you need from it. I recommend doing the research yourself though, watch some reviews, it will help you to make sure you know what you're getting. Also, in case you aren't aware, you're most likely applicable for the student discount, I highly recommend checking that deal out to save you a decent amount of money.

Q: QuestionVery confused! Is this computer old? Is it not going last as long as the newer models? Also, how are the graphics? I'm graphic design student and need a good graphics card. I'm not trying to break the bank with the $2,000 one- will this one work fine?
Asked by DesignStudent.
- A:Answer You have to be specific with what you consider "old". I think the new MacBook Pro has that touch bar thingy? Which I find useless and overly expensive but I think this one isnt that "old" like it has Siri, a light up key board, and good graphics. It's like the iPhone versions. The iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 works just as well as the iPhone 7 except it just has new different features. However, there's not much difference in performance. It's just a money game kiddo.

Q: QuestionDoes this laptop have all the ports on the sides? Does it have usb, headphone jack, or any of those things? Please reply as soon as possible.
Asked by Alex.
- A:Answer Absolutely! It has the headphone jack, three different sized USB ports and, obviously, the charging port. It has them located conveniently on the side of the computer, as it is for most laptops. Hope this answered your question. ;)

Q: QuestionWhich version of OS X does this use? I have an older MacBook which has topped out at version 10.11.6, El Capitan. Can this computer be upgraded to High Sierra (version 10.13.x) and beyond?
Asked by HomerJ.
- A:Answer According to Macworld, macOS Sierra can be loaded onto a MacBook that is newer than late 2009 and with OS X 10.7 Lion or later.

Q: QuestionI’d like to know if and/or when this item will be restocked and offered for sale by Best Buy?Thank You.
Asked by KymMac1.
- A:Answer Because apple is not producing anymore of this version , there will be no more re restock. If they do it will only be what is left, there is no more stock being mass produced for the 2015 13 inch macbook pro retina. However for the time being they are still making more stock of the macbook air 13" and the 2015 macbook pro retina 15" inch, the 15" being almost 600-800 dollars more though. If you do want the 13" 2015 macbook pro specifically then i suggest findining a trustworthy site that sells products such as amazon, they may have some still new and if not then certified refurbished might be the best way to go.
