A: No. It was designed to be used in that position.

A: It only works horizontally
Q: do you have to charge the keyboard/case separate from the iPad?
A: No it’s attached to the iPad from the back and essentially charges that way

A: Yes it will 1st gen ipad pro 11 inches. It has larget cutout for camera portion as 2020 ipad pro has 2 camera lenses. It fits perfectly with 1st Gen Ipad pros.
