Q: How does the size of this screen compare to the official arcade game size? Is it smaller, the same, or larger.

A: all seem a bit smaller from what i remember in 80's......... i own arcade1up marque (light up) versions of defender, pac man , and tempest .. all seem a bit smaller from what i remember in 80's.... still fun to play!!!! ..the true arcade cabinets are VERY VERY expensive ... IE i wanted "stargate" original is $3500.00 !!!! AND you need someone to service them ...

A: like all the other ones (arcade1up cabinets) u need to assemble... directions are actually good.. unlike some products... follow them to a T though.... i have 3 cabinets and each one got easier (course) FYI don't use POWER screwdrivers... about 1hr finish maybe 1 1/2 hrs. .. by myself.. i bet much quicker with 2 peeps .. one can do cabinet other riser .. aslo assemble on carpet or rug otherwise sure to scratch side of cabinet on hardwood floors

A: I was able to get a representative from Best Buy today to confirm that yes, it includes the lit marquee and deck protector. It’s exactly the same as what is being sold on Arcade1up.com.

A: Yes. I keep mine in my garage. I am also adding a ceiling fan in my garage for the summer when it gets hotter. Also, I would recommend you use a surge protector plugin to protect the circuit board from frying. You never know.

Q: How tall is the height once it is put on the riser? I see the manufacture 58.1 H, but is that with or without the riser?

A: So the 58.1 is with the riser which makes it the perfect size cab but I’m 5’6 and it works for me perfectly

A: Yes, in the settings of this unit for Ms Pac-Man you can select Normal or Fast speed. This even applies to the Best Buy SKU of this product, which is what I purchased.

80’s Throwback!
I got this for my wife for Christmas. The amount of games is great for the price, 12 in all. My 10 year old is now into 80’s video games! This was a great way to pass quarantine and is a hit with anyone that comes over with the phrase “ I’m getting this!” Shortly following. The game itself is a little smaller than I expected but it’s not a huge setback. The red round joystick head tends to work its way loose as you play. A bit of pipe thread tape took care of that for the most part. The game took about an hour or so to build which was not hard, no major skills needed and the electronics aspect is pretty much plug and play. The riser box helps to make it almost full size. The only issue I have with the unit is that the game box and riser box should have some type of adjustable footings. If the surface you are placing it on is not level and flat, it tends to wobble and slide around a lot.

Pros and cons
Fun memories of the old days while creating entertainment both adults and younger kids can enjoy. The live score board is interesting but has zero multi player ability other then score boards., but what’s really great with the Wi-Fi the system can now update through the internet. Before it was more of a hassle downloading and installing the update files. Very easy now. Pro’s. - light effect on the control panel adds a nice extra touch. Multi color selection or can select it to fade through multi colors automatically. - Wi-Fi updates download directly to cabinet. - Cabinet graphics are nice, and vivid. - Screen is clear and bright. - Games options are fun and has a very easy to use advanced setting options allowing for either fast or slow ms Pac-Man, and fast shooting or slow for Galaga. Adjusting difficulty on most and number of lives etc. Con’s. - horrible joystick (seems to be hit and miss with these and what you get) and contacts on the micro switches. You will really want to replace the joystick for ms Pac-Man or at min try upgrading the spring. The other games the factory joystick works fine for.. but me Pac-Man you need those contacts hitting or you are going to get annoyed quick. Couple searches on YouTube if you are new to these and you will find the walk throughs for upgrading. - This game does have a light up marquee but it’s probably one of the lower quality looking ones they have. - Pet peeve, the on off switch is a tension slider switch which you push left powers off then returns to center. Or slide right, power on and resets switch to center, It’s fine, but if you like to have your games on automation Alexa, HomeKit etc. it will not turn on automatically due to this. So if you use smart plugs etc you will need to replace to a proper toggle. Conclusion. 600 is kind of steep without at min a proper joystick, that stock joystick really hurts these games and these higher values. These games are fun for the right price, but having to work on them to make them better (or how the should have been) really hurts the retail price justification.

Unbelievable
Had the Ms Pac Man cocktail table, which I love. Class of 81 blows that one out of the water. Selling the cocktail cabinet. Lit marquee, best graphics and side art arcade 1 up has ever released, lighted deck with 8 color options, wifi and online world leaderboards, dip switch settings to customize difficulty and speed (software update even added rapid fire to Galaga ... and since it's wifi the update takes place as fast as adding an app to your phone) I have 7 cabinets and this is by far my favorite. Even got some world high scores!
