Not necissarily bad, but not as relatable as prev
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm neither a music aficionado nor Gaga's target audience so take this review with a pinch of salt, these are my opinions not irrefutable facts. ARTPOP explores some weird musical avenues that most other artists would find too risky to try, to some success. I really liked "Aura", "Venus", "G.U.Y.", "Se*** Dreams", and "Applause", but was confused by other tracks like, "Swine" because it seemed as though she was saying that if I found her attractive then I was a pig or something. Maybe I read too much into it or just read it wrong, but I didn't appreciate the gesture. I also am not sure about the track "Do What U Want" (featuring R. Kelly), it seems as though she is telling either the listener or Mr. Kelly that they may use her body as they wish. I wouldn't describe myself as a feminist, but the general theme of this track makes me cringe that someone would allow others to objectify and use themselves so freely. "Donatella", "Fashion!" and "Mary Jane Holland" seem to aimed at fashionistas, of which I am not, so while these tracks are generally pleasant listening they do nothing for those of us who are not concerned with modern/high fashion trends (I also have no idea who Mary Jane Holland is but Gaga makes her sound like a big deal). I found the remaining tracks on the album to be okay, but not really noteworthy. The only other thing I have to say about this album is that it doesn't sound like her previous work (many of the tracks have several new producers credited). ARTPOP is very noisy, that is to say there are many different synth-instruments (I don't actually know what instruments I hear in most tracks to be honest) playing alongside numerous audio samples from I don't know what, as well as audio filters on Gaga's own voice (not auto tuning per se), this was initially a bit jarring, but once I'd heard it a few times it didn't bother me anymore, but I do think I would have liked the album better without all the filters and synth-noise.

Another good album
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I do find this to be an ok album, I only listen to a few of the songs. To me, most of the other songs are rather average or not all that interesting. What I can say about this one is that, like the other albums, the booklet contains the lyrics to the song. The internet can be very helpful for looking up lyrics, but I often like having the booklets contain the lyrics. I only own 3 of the albums: this one, Born This Way and The Fame Monster. To me, Born This Way is still the number 1 album.

Good album, not great...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Lady Gaga, and have been a huge fan for a lonnnnng time, but alas, I regretfully believe that the height of her career is over. Fame: loved all of the songs, Fame Monster: loved almost all the songs, Born This Way, loved more than half the songs, Art Pop: I love maybe 4-5 songs. So there's been a steady decline in quality, from which I hope she bounces back, but very unlikely because of whatever is going on that's causing her to be the way she is nowadays.

Lady Gaga Album 3... no surprises
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like Lady Gaga, you'll like this album. I don't think it's as deep as her last CD and not as catchy as the first one so it's not up to her normal standards. I wouldn't pay a full retail price for this but on sale, you'd pay the same for a couple or 3 or the songs that you'd end up downloading later anyway so go ahead and pick it up.

Fun album with a few good songs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to buy it being a Lady Gaga fan, but have to say it's not her best work. But still there are few good songs. Really like Applause and Manicure. If you're a fan, it's a must buy, but for the casual listener I would just download the songs that you like rather than buy the whole CD.

Lady gaga and beyond.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most lady gaga music now. I find one I love and the rest grows on me. Favorite is do what you want. With GUY and AURA growing on me. I wish they would release the Christina version of do what you want and the rupaul version of fashion!

Better Than I Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's tough to follow up on great CDs. The Fame and Fame Monster were fantastic. Her follow up, not so much. I bought Katie Perry's CD at the same time, and to be honest, Lady Gaga's was better. Better songs, better music.
