A: GM501 is what I ordered and received. The touch pad is in front like normal laptop.
A: This is a 144hz panel with G-Sync capabilities as well.
Q: Is it possible to swap out the hard drives? One? Both?
A: Yes, there are some very detailed videos on youtube on how to disassemble this laptop for upgrades.
Q: Can the cooling vent be opened when the laptop is closed? For docking purposes.
A: No, the vent is attached to hinge, opening the display is what opens the vent. I would not attempt to play games with this and external display without the laptop opened up. There are no holes in the piece that opens from the bottom and the display would block the top holes, so all intake air would be blocked. So in short, always operate it with lid open.
A: No it does not.
Q: Does this laptop have a memory card reader?
A: The laptop doesn't have a card reader slot, external USB reader can be utilized if required.
