AT&T - Digital Answering System with Time and Day Stamp

This worked for about 2+ years and suddenly went out on me. No warning, not even a power outage. It just quit. I honestly will not purchase another like this as each time the power did go out it had to be reset each time. In the summer with thunderstorms power outages or power surges can be in abundance and you will find yourself resetting and resetting again and again. No thanks. I think I'll try a different brand.

This product is just fine. I agree you get what you pay for...and so the expectations should be moderate. I've had for about 1.5 years now and it still works fine. I hear it just fine if I have the volume appropriately set. I do think it's annoying that there is no date stamp on the message. It only tells you the day and time the message was left. So if you hold on to a message for more than a week, you might forget if "Friday, 7:30 pm" is this past Friday or Friday from 2 weeks ago.

good machine, except no battery backup. have to reset everything after a power failure. in about 3 years you will get complaints that the machine is hanging up on people and no outgoing message. (you will have to buy at&t's new model 1739, maybe it will last longer, but don't get a GE!

The product was priced fairly (Purchased at a Best Buy retail unit) and the set up was easy following the step by step instructions. The unit worked well on all incoming calls. Only downside may be the lack of a backup battery for power outages.

Save your money! I thought I would use this in place of paying the phone company the ridiculous money for voice mail ever month. You can't even hear when people leave a message. There is feedback noise that blocks you from hearing anything.
