Read several positive reviews on this new TT and picked one up at my local BB. I preferred the next model up (LP120) for $50 more, which is a much better TT with more adjustments and a better cartridge, but chose the LP3 as its full auto feature is easier for my family to use. The LP3 is very attractive and seems well built. I swapped out the stock cartridge with an Audio Technica AT95e, aligned and set the tracking force, and hooked it up to my integrated amp thru an external phono preamp. It sounded quite good at first but I noticed that the speed was too fast after test listening different records. It's belt-driven so doesn't have pitch controls. I returned and exchanged it for the LP120, which is manual but is just a large improvement over the LP3 on many levels. I'm much happier with the upgrade and just need to show my wife and kids how to use a manual TT.
