Q: What does "multi-pairing function to connect to up to 8 devices to a single receiver" mean exactly? Define "devices"........

A: Once a transmitter has been paired to the receiver, each time that transmitter is turned on there- after, the receiver will quickly recognize it and pass the audio. You do not have to go through the PAIRING process again which takes considerably longer. Just make certain that you turn the transmitter in use OFF before turning the next transmitter ON. The receiver will "remember" up to eight different transmitters.Devices would be a handheld microphone/transmitter, a bodypack transmitter with either a lav mic, headworn mic or instrument cable attached. A device could also be our wireless boundary microphone or desk stand with XLR input. A good example of why someone would want to have multiple transmitters is a guitar player in a live sound situation. Say that artist plays 8 different guitars during a show. He or she can attach a different bodypack transmitter to each guitar. When they go to play a different one, all they have to do is turn the transmitter in use off and turn the next one on and they will quickly be up and running.
