Q: Can this card be used to just capture gameplay on your hard drive to save and edit later? I'm not into the whole "live stream" thing, but I do love to share gameplay clips!

Q: Can this record PC game footage from the PC that it is in? If not, can I run an HDMI cable from my video card to this capture card and then a cable to the monitor or TV to capture game footage. Sorry if it's a dumb question!

A: Capture Card is meant to be used to capture outside of the PC. You wouldn't export, then import, then export back out to the monitor. There are software out there to capture the windows you want while its running.

Q: Would this work on a mac book for live streaming either through thunderbolt or usb?

A: Unfortunately it won't, It needs to be installed internally. It needs to be plugged into a motherboard.

Q: Can this be used to stream video from a canon camcorder onto PC for live-streaming?

A: Yes, albeit, this would be extremely overkill for that one task.
