Useful to stream to an older projector!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I purchased this adapter to connect my older (pre 2010s , but still excellent, projector (VGA) to my newer laptop (HDMI). The adapter worked perfectly. My VGA cable had the screws necessary to tighten the VGA. So no duct tape needed! We were able to stream a movie from my laptop, and send it to my projector seamlessly! It's been a few weeks since I have used it, but as I remember, the plug-ins on the top of the main part of the adapter (not viewable in the product photo) enabled the male AUX sound cables to be plugged into the projector. It all worked perfectly.

Good HDMI Adapter
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed.I needed an adapter to connect an HDMI output to a VGA monitor. This works as promised and allows me to use an older VGA monitor with my Raspberry Pi 4 HDMI output. It does this all internally without the need for any software driver.

Q: QuestionThis device won't work from my Samsung DVD/BlueRay to my projector's VGA input. I believe it's the HDCP getting in the way. One of my HDMI switchers did pass the signal through one time but never again, so I know your device works. U should note NO HDCP

Q: QuestionDoes this work with MacBook Pro hdmi port? Multiple hdmi to vga cables don’t work with Apple MacBook Pro laptops for some technical reasons and I am trying to make sure that this will work.
