A: There is no keyboard shelf. The glass top is generously deep enough for a keyboard and monitor. A slider shelf would be width-challenged by the slider hardware, the keyboard, and a mouse pad.

A: It's a medium gray-silver. Not hideous, but I'd prefer a darker shade with a matte finish.
