A: You need to know the distance that the TV station antennas are from your home. Based on the distance will tell you the strength of the indoor antenna you need to buy. I bought a 50 mile one because most of the stations I needed are within a 50 mile range. Use this website to plug in your ZIP Code and find out how far they are. A: I had the same problem and used velcro. The sticky pads are a joke. I had them installed on 3 tvs and all 3 fell off within a few hours of when the technician left.

A: No. Netflix is a internet service. You must have a internet service to use it. This antenna is for receiving TV signals. This works like the old rabbit ears that were on top of the TV in 80 and before.

Q: does it have to face a window to work? Because my family room is in the center of the house.
A: I bought one of these recently and it works just fine facing a wall behind our TV, and it is not even high up on the wall, as is often suggested. Only issue was I had to ensure it was not directly opposite to our air conditioning unit which is the other side of the wall (outside). Get great reception here in Houston for all the local channels, all in HD.
