Works well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No cords, just charge, fill and go over old and new carpets. Once the dirty water reaches capacity it will automatically shut off, just clean it out. Make sure you have water and liquid in there and start again but if you run out of water, it’s not a big deal. The only time you will find it shutting off between cleaning is if it wasn’t properly charge or maybe a part was not fitted back properly in place. My carpets are old and it takes care of the job. I have pets it cleans wherever they make a mess. Just clean out all the areas as instructed.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We ordered the cordless version, and it’s been phenomenal, it cleans and vacuums so well even with two long haired dogs! The only downside we have with it is that the battery life could be longer, but it gives a nice break in between cleaning rooms!

Picture This!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the first time in your life you’ll say my floors are clean and it does an excellent job on the rugs as well as making them look brand new. It is super easy to use just fill the solution container with water and cleaner and put it back in, plug it in and choose the hardwood or Rug option. Best choice for cleaning the carpets and hard floors without causing neck, or back, or hip pain.

Great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve bought allot of these, this is my 5th vacuum mop, all different brands. This is by far the best ive found. There is cleanup after use and if floors are very dirty i have to go the old fashioned way and use a mop. I haven’t been able to find a magic macine that does it all, still searching but this comes pretty close.

Pretty Darn Good!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a neat freak. If you have shopped for vacuums and steam mops from Best Buy over the last 5-10 years, you will have seen that I have purchased and reviewed pretty much every type of cleaning gadget there is. I get it from my mom. She kept our house like a museum. I still feel like I need to hand her a set of white gloves for an inspection every time she visits! Anyway, my house was built with tile floors for most of the downstairs areas and the bathrooms. Recently we pulled all the carpet from the upstairs and now our house is pretty much 90% tile or 'luxury' vinyl wood. I had a system down for before with a good steam mop for the tile and a great vacuum for the carpets. Now with so much tile, the steam mop just can't keep up and I have been resorting to vacuuming the tile first, then using a dry disposable dusting cloth to get the remaining dust and fur/hair from my cat & wife respectively, and finally doing a pass with a wet cloth run. With about 2500 square feet of hard floors, it not only takes forever, I also run through a TON of those disposable cloths (the wet ones never doing that much good either). I needed something better. Along comes the Bissell - CrossWave X7 Cordless Multi-surface. I love my Bissell steam mop so I decided to give this a try. Here is what I really like about the CrossWave X7 (from here on just called the X7): 1. 3-In-1: Combines vacuum, duster, and mop all into one nice, easy to carry/use package. Because I can do what would normally be three rounds around the house with one pass, I am definitely saving time. I did the whole house in about 45 minutes rather than the hour and a half it used to take. I consider that a big win. 2. Cordless: I love that the X7 is cordless. I can take it anywhere is the house easily. My steam mop is great but has a pretty short cord reach. I was always having to unplug/plug it back in all over the place and even if I did it really quickly, it would still take a minute to fire up the steam again. 3. Impressive Cleaning: My go-to test for a new cleaning device is to use it on what is already what I consider to be a pretty clean surface. I had just done the floors last Thursday afternoon because we had a guest coming over on Friday night. I gave the X7 a run on Monday morning, so like 3 1/2 days with just me, my wife, my cat, and this guest (who was only here for like 2 hours). You can see from one of the pictures that I was able to get up a disgusting amount of dirt off of what I considered to be a still pretty clean surface. This was just from doing about 75% of the downstairs tile. I am actually pretty ashamed to show that. 4. Easy to Clean-Up Afterwards: While the other methods I used were also easy to clean-up after since I mostly just had to dump a vacuum bin or throw away a disposable cloth, here everything pretty much just goes down the sink. Tap the hair trap on the garbage and that takes care of most of the clean-up. Put the X7 back on its cradle for charging and a quick 30 second run of the self-clean, and you are completely done. When I was done with the whole house, I could see that the roller brush was pretty dingy but after the self clean, it was back to looking new when I popped it out of the roller head to dry . Things I Wish Were Better: I don't really have any dealbreakers with the X7, but there are a couple of things that they could do for the next generation that would make this an absolute 5-star cleaning device. 1. Slightly Longer Battery Life: I got the 30 minutes that Bissell said but not a minute longer. That was solely doing the hardwood setting. I needed about 10 more minutes and I could have done the whole house on one charge. If you have less than 2000 square feet of floor to clean, you will probably be able to do it all with one charge. 2. Larger Clean/Dirty Reservoirs: I realize that there has to be a trade-off on this to keep the X7 portable, but I had to both fill up the clean reservoir and empty the dirty reservoir three times while doing my house. I would say you get about 750 sq/ft per go. I probably would have had to do it even more if I used as much fluid as they recommend. Bissell says you should have the trigger going for both a forward and a back run and then to go over it again back and forward another time with just the vacuum for best results and faster drying. For me, I thought it was best to just run it on the forward push and then to do the back and another forward/back run to maximize the amount of fluid picked back up. Even with just dispensing fluid on the brush on the one push out, it still put a ton of liquid on the floor, which not even three more passes with the vacuum was able to pull up. 3. Better Fluid Suction: The X7 does a great job picking up hair and debris but could use a bit more power/suction for the cleaning fluid. Again, this is a tradeoff for being able to pick up regular debris as well as being able to mop but the fact that the cleaning head can't actually get a really good seal on the floor to suck up the fluid, leaves quite a bit dirty fluid on the floor. This is where I knocked a star off. After seeing how much dirt the X7 was able to pull up, I want ALL that dirty fluid picked back up! To be fair, it did vary quite a bit based on the type of flooring. On my downstairs tile which is an 18" x 18" ceramic tile with pretty wide grout lines, it didn't do as well as I would like. On my flatter bathroom tile which also has slightly narrower grout lines, it did better. It did best on the luxury vinyl 'wood' floors. I kind of expected that, but maybe that is where Bissell can work on having a better variable suction. Neither Bad Nor Good, Just An Observation: The X7 goes through quite a bit of cleaning solution. They give you two 8oz bottles in the box and I was thinking that this would be good for 4-5 cleanings of floors. Nope. I used one whole bottle on those three fill ups that it took to do my floors. I mean, I guess that isn't the best thing but I didn't really have an idea how much it would need. Also, I would have appreciated it if Bissell had given one of each of the main types of cleaner solution instead of just the one kind. That way I could have done a better job figuring out which was best for my floor combination. The Clean+Natural Multi-surface is good, but the other kind might be better. Conclusion: All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with the X7. It saves me time and does a pretty darn good job of picking up both regular household messes as well as all the fur/food/litter my cat leaves all over the house. It's really good as it it, but if the next generation can fix those few quibbles I have, it will be a no-brainer for homes with lots of hard floors.

Q: QuestionHow does this compare to the Bissell-CrossWave-Cordless-Max-Multi-Surface-Wet-Dry-Vacuum-BISSELL2554? Is there a substantial performance or convenience difference between these two models?
Asked by MrsB.
- A:Answer I originally didn't want to pay the extra to get this model-with the additional suction option. But I bought the less expensive cordless model and I felt like it left a lot more water on my floors than I was used to with my original Corded version. So, I returned that one and purchased this model. (The X7). I feel like this is similar in performance to the corded model, which I love. I hated dealing with the cord, though. This is a great addition to our home and I love it!

Q: QuestionCan this be used without the cleaning solution? For example, as just a vacuum? Or do you still need a vacuum?
Asked by Erin.
- A:Answer Yes it can. The only time you really need the solution is when mopping. The vaccum is extremely powerful.

Q: QuestionDoes this machine clean up both hard and soft puppy poops? We are elderly and have three Chihuahuas & a Chiweenie. Two dogs are elderly and have been pad trained because we do not have a fenced yard & area predator threats. The pups likely too.
Asked by Chugwheel.
- A:Answer I would pick up as much as you can before running the vacuum over it. It will clean up the messes, but limiting how much it needs to pick up will make the results much better.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with any attachments?

- A:Answer Hi Ashley. No attachments included, nor is there anyway to attach any. It works great on hardwood or laminate floors though! We love it with potty train four puppy!

Q: QuestionCan this be used for vacuuming carpet?
Asked by Wini.
- A:Answer We use it on our area rugs, they’re about 9x11. Never an issue and work great on the turbo setting. If its all carpet on the floor, the battery may die quicker.

Q: QuestionIf I only want to use the Bissell Crosswave x7 for a small area of my house (muddy paws by the door) do I have to clean it out everytime? Or can I just dump the dirty water out & clean it after a few uses?
Asked by Anom.
- A:Answer All i do is rinse out the container. If i am only doing small areas, i will rinse off the roller only if the roller looks like it needs it and i will do that by running the machine while it's sitting in the tray. Hope this helps.
