Best tv show that never got a chance. If it was aired on FX the show would still be on. It will keep you wanting more every episode. Well worth the price. You wont be disappointed

Get this 3 disc set now while it is still available. It is about $20 cheaper than when it first came out. And as I write this, BB is having 25% off all TV on DVD so for $18 this is a must buy. The cinematography is beautifully done, in my mind really captures the essence of the series. The series is also loaded with light humor essential to balance the dramatic themes. Overall it is a very re-watchable series. My only con was the season finale is the series finale but the storyline is pretty much wrapped up so it's like watching a really long movie. Plus a chance to see Michael Stahl-David before Cloverfield & Tom Guiry who you may know better as Scotty Smalls from The Sandlot. A great show at a great price, you will not be disappointed.

The Black Donnellys had to be one of the best shows to air in the past five years. With todays trend of "reality tv" taking over it was nice to see "fiction" tv making a comeback. Unfortunately, people don't want to watch fiction. They want to watch people's lives ruined on national television, thus The Black Donnellys was canceled after only airing eight episodes. Luckily they have released the entire series on DVD. This series gives you the seven episodes that did air and six episodes that did not so you are able to see how the first and last season plays out. This set is great, the acting is phenomenal and the writing is unbelievable, but what did you expect from Paul Haggis of "Crash" and Robert Moresco of "Million Dollar Baby". The biggest problem with this set is that there aren't any special features at all, so you are paying for just the episodes and there is no real resolution to how the story ends. The viewer is left with a bunch of questions that leaves a pit in your stomach because you know that you will never find out what happens to the Donnelly brothers. The Black Donnelly's: The Complete Series is worth purchasing because it is fantastic mob/crime driven fictional television, put down the worlds smarter than the biggest loser idol and pick this up.
