Q: After the 2 year battery is dead what do u do
A: My batteries are not for two years I’ve already please replace them 5 or 6 times
Q: Will the system work with a mobile hotspot?
A: Yes you can. I have Metro PCS hotspot ($35) with Blink cameras. It's been working for a year now. There is a delay of 20 to 30 seconds before I get a notification.
A: The Blink System does not require a static IP address. We currently only offer our free cloud storage for the basic Blink camera systems accessible via the Blink App. Our free cloud storage for the Basic Blink camera systems can hold up to 1440 5-second clips for as long as you like (no expiration) - when it becomes full, it will automatically delete the oldest clip in order to make room for the next one.
Q: How far away from the wi-fi source can the cameras be placed and still work?
A: The Blink cameras need to be within 100ft of the sync module to operate. As far as how far away the Blink system can be from your wireless router would depend on the strength of your internet/wifi, we recommend at least three bars of signal strength
A: The Blink set-up is easy and really only requires following three simple steps, https://support.blinkforhome.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001372592-How-to-set-up-Blink Blink’s server provides each system storage for up to 7,200 total seconds of video (or 1,440 five-second events). If you reach your storage limit, your oldest alert clips will be overwritten by the newest.
Q: Does the blink security system sound an alarm when it detects motion or does it just record? Thanks
A: It sends a notice to your smart phone informing you that motion has been detected to your blink app and then you log in and view the recording, works very well.
Q: Does Blink have a microphone and speaker?
A: Yes it has a mic, it records audio. It does not have a speaker, despite the previous incorrect answer to this question.
